Spring/Summer'2013 Trends: Pink-y Promise

Быть девушкой со всеми привычными ей атрибутами вроде платьев, туфель на каблуках и милых женственных аксессуаров в последнее время стало как-то... Неприлично, что ли. Не в глобальном, конечно, плане, но в рамках моды - той, которую на подиумах пропагандируют дизайнеры, а на улицах модных столиц известные по streetstyle-блогам девушки.

Складывается ощущение, что барышни так увлеклись темой равенства полов, что попросту забыли о тех своих достоинствах, которыми стоит по праву гордиться и которые есть смысл время от времени подчёркивать. Небрежные джинсы бойфренда, начищенные оксфорды, безразмерные белые рубашки и худи с дерзкими текстами - это всё, конечно, здорово и удобно, но... Волей-неволей тянешься к датированным серединой прошлого века фотографиям, на которых мужчины одеты как мужчины, а женщины одеты как женщины - в самом лучшем смысле.

Одним из самых спорных и вызывающих множество противоречий способов подчеркнуть свою принадлежность к женскому полу является розовый цвет. Многие девушки, боясь реакции общества вроде той, что продемонстрирована в фильме "Блондинка в законе", всех его оттенков остерегаются. Как избежать участи Эль Вудс? Секрет прост: лаконичные фасоны, минимум декоративных деталей, перевес в сторону чуть более тёплых оттенков. Ещё один вариант - росчерк помады цвета фуксии на "чистом" лице. Девушкой быть не так уж плохо, не правда ли?

It seems to me that being a girl who wears dresses, high-heeled shoes and cute girly accessories has become sort of... Not comme il faut lately. Of course, not on a global scale, but in the framework of fashion that is being advocated by designers and by many of the it-girls we see in the streetstyle blogs.

It looks like girls are so trapped in the concept of gender equality, they have forgotten what it's like to be proud of their humps and lady lumps - the ones a girl should accentuate from time to time. Boyfriend jeans, polished oxfoards, oversized white shirts and hoodies with naughty words - yeah, they all are nice and comfy, I know, but... They make me wanna browse through the photos dated to the middle of the last century, when men were dressed like men and women were dressed like women - in the best sense.

Pink is one of the most controversial ways of saying out loud that you're a female. Many ladies are afraid of people's reaction - the one that was shown in the movie "Legally Blonde". What should you do if you're not as confident as Elle Woods? Here's the answer: simple cut, minimum of details, slightly warmer shades. Or just use a fuschia lipstic! It's not that bad to be a girl, isn't it?

Silver Linings Playbook

Бескомпромиссный цвет стали, мягкая сияющая дымка, деликатные переливы зеленоватого, сиреневатого и голубоватого, вобравшие в себя все цвета радуги голограммы - в весенне-летних коллекциях столько вариаций на тему серебряного цвета, что невольно теряешься. Не покидает лишь одно: ассоциации с космосом, с будущим, с чем-то неземным и далёким.

Однако для того, чтобы вписать оттенки серебряного в свой гардероб, вмешательства сверхъестественных сил не потребуется. В теории серебряный хорошо сочетается с большинством цветов, однако наиболее крепкие отношения у него возникают с пастельными тонами, а также с безопасными чёрным и белым. Впрочем, если идти ва-банк - про вас, можно попробовать выйти за рамки комфортной зоны и соединить вещь с голографическим эффектом и что-то такое, что перекликается с одной из её красочных граней.

Тем, чьи повседневные наряды состоят из предметов классических фасонов и базовых цветов, есть смысл присмотреться к аксессуарам. Обратите внимание на обувь с серебряными вставками, бижутерию и ювелирные украшения из холодных металлов, сумки и клатчи из сверкающей кожи. Абсолютный фаворит - чехол для телефона от Marc by Marc Jacobs (как жаль, что он слишком велик для моего 4S!).

Bold steel, soft sheen, delicate play of greenish, pinkish and bluish colours, multicoloured holograms - the spring/summer collection are filled with different shades of silver. One thing that doesn't change is the association with something cosmic, futuristic, ethereal and faraway.

However there's no need in the intervention of supernatural forces - it's pretty easy to add some silver into your wardrobe. On paper, silver looks great with most of the colours, but to make the most of it mix it with some pastels or good old black and white. Though, if you wanna go all the way try combining items with holographic effects with those of rainbow colours.

Those who are used to classic shapes and basic colours might use some help from the accessories department. There are plenty of shoes with silver details, silver tone jewelry, shining leather bags and clutches. What else? A truly fabulous Marc by Marc Jacobs iPhone 5 case (I just wish there was one for my beloved 4S!).

Clear Intentions

С появлением Фэйсбука, Твиттера, Инстаграма и прочих социальных сетей у нас появилась новая привычка - мы с энтузиазмом делимся с окружающими своими мыслями и фотографиями, выставляем напоказ свою жизнь, разрешаем порой совсем незнакомым людям подглядывать за нами. Эта тенденция нашла своё отражение и в моде - одежда более не служит укрытием, в котором от случайных взглядов прячется тело, она напротив является ещё одним способом выставить на обозрение окружающих всё то, что мы имеем.

От клатчей-коробочек (которые можно найти как у Charlotte Olympia, так и у бюджетной ZARA) и фантастических шляп с показа Chanel до баснословно дорогих тренчей Valentino, в которых жалко выйти в дождь, и юбок-невидимок - прозрачным в этом сезоне стало буквально всё. Скромным барышням полагаются браслеты и солнцезащитные очки, более смелым - туфли и сумки с пластиковыми вставками, ну а тем, кому стесняться совсем нечего, придутся по душе юбки и платья, окутывающие тело мягкой вуалью.

As Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all the other lovely social networks have come into our lives we've got used to sharing our thoughts and photos with people from around the world. We basically let complete strangers follow us throughout this big journey aka "Life". This trend is now even reflected in fashion - clothes is no longer hiding our bodies, it's now putting it on display.

From box cluthes (you can now buy them from both Charlotte Olympia and ZARA) and fascinating Chanel hats to overly expensive Valentino trench coats and almost invisible skirts - everything now is transparent/clear/sheer. If you are one of those shy girls, go and grab some clear sunnies and bracelets. If you feel slighly more daring - get yourself a pair of plastic shoes and a transparent bag. And if you wanna go all the way, then how about purchasing a sheer skirt or even a sheer dress?

What do you think about transparent garments and accessories? Which ones would you like to own and which ones you would never wear?

All Dressed In White

Вместе с модой на натуральный макияж и естественно уложенные волосы на ведущие позиции в текущем весенне-летнем сезоне вышел белый цвет. Гостьи Недель Моды не устают демонстрировать белоснежные туфли, популярные блогеры вроде Николь Уорн выступают в качестве своеобразной рекламы столь сложному в нанесении белому лаку, а по подиумам вышагивают модели, с ног до головы облачённые в одежды, лишённые цветового тона.

В белом наряде никак нельзя остаться незамеченной - забавно, но одежда этого цвета привлекает к себе едва ли не больше внимания чем та, что окрашена в красный/изумрудный/жёлтый. При этом белый цвет позволяет экспериментировать с материалами и кроем: сетка, полупрозрачные или плотные, матовые или блестящие ткани, архитектурные формы (как у Jil Sander) или окутывающие тело многочисленные слои (как у Chloe) - есть куда разгуляться.

Этой весной дизайнеры предлагают либо одеваться в белое с ног до головы, либо сочетать белоснежные платья/костюмы/пальто с чёрными аксессуарами и аксессуарами из металлизированной кожи. Вне зависимости от того, какой вариант вам больше по душе, советую запастись терпением - оно понадобиться не только во время рейдов по магазинам (в которых по-прежнему засилье чёрных брюк-кофт-юбок), но и когда выяснится, что в условиях городской жизни стирать полюбившиеся белые вещи нужно после каждой носки. Но ведь эффект стоит всех усилий, вы согласны?

An all-white outfit worn with natural makeup and effortless hairdo is probably one of the key looks of this spring/summer season. Guests of Fashion Weeks seem to be in love with their white pumps, well-known bloggers like Nicole Warne keep showing off their perfectly painted white nails, and models are walking down the runways wearing snow-white clothes.

When you're opting for an all-white look there's no chance you won't be noticed - it's funny, but white clothes make you stand out even more than if you were wearing something red/green/yellow. At the same time, white gives you so much freedom when it comes to materials and styles: fishnet, sheer/dense and shiny/opaque fabrics, architectural shapes (check Jil Sander) or thousands of thin layers (Chloe).

This spring designers suggest us to be all dressed in white or to wear white clothes with black/metallic accessories. No matter what you prefer, patience will be your best friend - first, you'll need it when it will turn out they sell only black things in all your local stores (often happens to me!) and then when you will figure out your brand new white items have to be washed after every single use. Well, the effect is worth the effort, right?
